David Hannum
is a Meigs County native. He graduated
from Eastern High
School in
Meigs County in 1976, and graduated from Lipscomb University in
Nashville,
Tennessee with a B.S. in Business Management and a Minor in
Economics
in 1982. After eleven years out of the
area working mostly in
Northwest
Ohio and Southeast Michigan, David came back to Appalachia,
home sweet
home, in 1993. In March of 1998, he
accepted a position as a Web
Analyst/Programmer
at Ohio University, and today he is the Lead web
programmer
for Computer Services Administrative Systems.
Since 1997, David
has owned
his own web development company called Skyward Internet
Technology. Skyward offers design, development and web
consulting to small
to medium size
businesses in Southeast Ohio and Western West Virginia. At
Ohio
University, one of David's main job functions is to keep the web team
in
Administrative Systems abreast of the latest trends and technologies in
the
Internet world. As a natural result of
the tremendous amount of web
technology
reading that he does, David is very up-to-date on where the
Internet
is heading. He has given presentations
at web conferences and here
in Ohio
and at the University of Indiana. He
currently is the manager of
the local
Southeast Ohio Macromedia User Group (formerly the Mid-Ohio Valley
ColdFusion
User Group) and he attends Developers Conferences each year as
well as
taking advanced training. Currently,
David is functioning as the
Technical
Lead for the implementation Ohio University's enterprise wide
Content Managent System installation.
